Despite Twitter dropping off as a source of new subs, it's still a channel so I may have to resurrect my dormant account. I suspect I'll be all-too-forcibly reminded of why I left in the first place!
The key thing with Twitter is to use mute and block liberally. Keyword muting is especially effective. And if you use it in Chrome, then I highly recommend the Control Panel for Twitter extension, which helps remove a lot of the cruft, including the trends which I tend to find toxic. It can still drive some traffic, so it's worth the odd tweet, but it's not as useful as it used to be.
